Curtains are one of the most versatile and essential pieces in any home. They can be used for many purposes, both functional and decorative. To achieve the perfect look that best suits your needs, we offer a wide variety of styles to choose from so you’re sure to find what works best for you.

Curtains can provide insulation against harsh weather elements by combining them with blinds to compliment their colour palette, it's all about finding balance between aesthetics and function when upgrading these windows treatments.

Curtains also provide privacy, especially in the case of dense heavy curtains or alternatively they can provide semi-privacy while still being able to give a view in the case of lightweight sheer materials. When it comes down to decorations there are so many different options that we feel would suit your needs - starting off on a basic level where patterns play an important role such as stripes or dots but then continuing onto more complex designs such as paisley or even floral patterns.

If you are in the Townsville area and need curtains, we are sure we can assist with finding you the perfect set of curtains for your home. We have a wide range of styles and colours to choose from - so no matter what aesthetic you are going for, we will be able to find a solution for you.

There are many types of curtains, with some of the more popular types being:

  • Pinch pleat (or tailored pleat) curtains
  • Box pleat curtains, double or triple
  • Goblet pleat curtain
  • Pencil pleat curtains
  • Eyelet (grommet) curtains
  • Rod-pocket curtains
  • Back Tab curtains
  • Tab-top curtains

Single width curtains are perfect for a living room or bedroom that has one large window. They can be hung to the wall in either direction depending on which way you would like them to go, and will provide privacy whilst still letting light into your home.

Double width curtains are more of a formal look, than single width. They come with two sets of curtain hooks so they can hang from the same rod but at different heights, giving a very grand look. This style is also excellent for blocking out noise as it creates a sound barrier between rooms, this is great in homes where children's bedrooms are located next door to other family members' rooms such as grandparents or parents.

The width of the curtains should be twice as wide as the window itself, with an extra 200mm on either side for ease of operation - this will allow you to draw the curtains together in a single movement without them bunching up or pulling away from each other and consequently blocking out any natural light which may have been coming through.

Lengths come in standard increments which is typically 120mm. You'll need two lengths per window if using rod pockets on either side of the fabric panel; three length panels allow you to cover each set independently but still maintain symmetry across both sides of the window frame without any gaps.

Curtains can be made of a variety of materials, including linen, silk or cotton - the most popular choices are usually lined with polyester for added softness. When choosing curtains in Townsville it's important that you match your carpet colours and upholstery as closely as possible so that they're consistent throughout the room, this will create an uninterrupted flow from one space to another.
